But I don't eat things that swim

You've been assigned a task!
Granted, maybe I would like a system that helps me manage my
workload better. I’ve tried so many. I’m still trying so many. I’m not trying them anymore. I’m using them and using them badly. It’s overwhelming in itself but I'm too busy to spend my time wasting it.
Now, where did I leave that link? I’ve assigned it to that place - a specific place I can visualise on the screen, on the left, above the green label. Click. Top of the page. Click. I’m there. Putting it there, in the ether, my ether, my place. I spend my life searching but I know where my things are. But sometimes having that place closes down the possibility of doing things differently, trying something new, because I'm now invested in my bad earlier decisions.
But, if we were in a restaurant and we decided to share a platter, surely we would have a conversation about what is suitable for both our palates? I’ve turned up to the restaurant and you’ve already ordered for both of us. You like prawns but I don’t eat things that swim. Does your system need to be my system? I'm not going to eat it.
